We will be creating small line paintings using Elegant Writer pens.  Elegant writers add a touch of color and shading to a simple black and white drawing. They are fun to use and magical in what they help artists create!

Supplies to bring with you:

1) Watercolor paper
2) Elegant Writer (not the permanent ink variety)
3) Watercolors
4) Watercolor brushes
5) Pencil and eraser
6) A fine line permanent marker might be useful too. (black Sharpie for example)

Optional: watercolor card stock (Susan has them for sale at the gallery)
and simple line drawings to copy (I will provide some too)
Elegant Writers Markers are made by Speedball and are available at craft stores as well as Amazon.  Be sure you get ones that are NOT permanent…width of tip is personal preference.

"ART AT THE AIRPORT"

Theme - "Destinations"

Opening reception, Wednesday, January 19th 5:30 P.M.

This exhibit will be displayed until the end of March.

Art at the Airport

The City of Morgantown Arts & Cultural Development Department is launching a new partnership with the Morgantown Art Association and the Morgantown Municipal Airport to showcase local artists’ works in the airport terminal.

The Art at the Airport program will present local artists’ work in an exhibition at the airport terminal near the gate and baggage claim areas. Along with showcasing artwork, there will be opportunities for the artists to sell their work if desired. The Morgantown Art Association will coordinate in selecting artists and rotating the exhibition throughout the year.

“It’s great that we can support local artists and provide a space where they can showcase and sell their artwork while enhancing the airport experience for travelers,” said Vincent Kitch, Director of Arts & Cultural Development.
