The next Board meeting is rescheduled to August 12 at 10:30. Board minutes for 2025 meetings are posted on the MAA website.

There is NO take in in August—the current show will run until Sept and there’s a new show at the airport.

Volunteer Information
The gallery needs volunteer attendants! Sign up for July and August hours via the paper calendar in the gallery, the new e-calendar on the Gallery computer, by clicking the link sent out to Gallery volunteers' emails, or clicking the button below!

What does the Gallery Attendant do? Gallery attendants greet visitors and answer questions. They also handle sales, receive new membership payments, answer the phone, help members pick up artwork, and keep the gallery clean.

CANCELED!!! CREATING A JUNK JOURNAL FROM AN OLD BOOK

This class had been postponed until the fall. Please be on the lookout for additional communications about new class dates.

Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Cost: $37.45 (includes 7% tax)
Instructor: Judy Hurst

Judy will instruct how to re-purpose an old book into a fun, personal journal using old and new paper, personal memorabilia, drawing paper. Think fun! Hint: Remember, we are learning to repurpose!

Supplies Provided: Books, miscellaneous paper, Scissors, rulers, glue sticks.

Optional Supplies (that will mean folks will not have Share as much): Paper cutter, x-acto knife (or Something similar, some binder Clips, and large eye needle. Paper will be supplied; however, you may want your own special papers. These may be book pages, magazine or calendar pages, greeting cards, old ledger paper. Bring them along!

PAMELA MARTINO CREATIVE COLLAGE WORKSHOP

Participants in the Creative Collage Workshop will explore ways that collage might inspire and encourage individual creativity and artistic expression. This class is for the beginner or advanced artist interest in the art of collage. The instructor will demonstrate how to make
various papers using a gelli plate. Participants should complete a finished collage by class end.

Pamela Martino is a teacher, artist and writer who uses words, color and images to create collages whose themes explore the human spirit. She likes using a gelli plate to create unusual images that are then incorporated into collages. She is also a labyrinth facilitator and explores ways that the labyrinth can inspire and encourage creativity
and self-expression. Art should be fun and free from judgement!
