KAPPA TAU -
APRIL 5, 2018 CONNIE BANTA Soul Collage Based on Jungian concepts of archetypes, the SoulCollage©️ process offers an opportunity for self-exploration through art-making. It involves creating collages on 5x8" matboard cards. Participants find images that somehow resonate with them (even if they don't really know why) and create collages with them. The images are pulled from magazines and other graphic sources (including original art). The process of making cards is in itself a very meaningful and satisfying experience, and in addition, the cards can be used like tarot-type cards to help the person explore a question or issue, made all the more meaningful by the fact that the images on the cards are personal to the user. In my talk I will discuss: ---the history and theory of Soul Collage©️ ---the process of making Soul Collage©️ cards ---how cards can be organized into four "suits" ---how the created cards can be used for personal exploration, healing, growth and inspiration ---ways to get involved in Soul Collage©️ with others ---the international Soul Collage©️ community ---online sources of information on Soul Collage©️ ---local workshops |
